Maker’s Mark in general
This time, we begin unpacking the red waxed bourbon, which has been a distinctive feature at the Loretto distillery since its debut. I’m referring to the one-of-a-kind bourbon known as Maker’s Mark. According to the creators, every bottle is hand-dipped in red wax and will remain so till the end (https://www.makersmark.com/makers-mark).
They wanted to build a bourbon that didn’t blow your socks off, and they succeeded https://www.makersmark.com – they made their bourbon with sweetness while retaining the bourbon’s unique flavours. What’s amazing is that they not only changed the bourbon field, but they also have a distinctive bottle design that is recognized globally. From a marketing standpoint, it’s fantastic to see the clever thinking behind it.

Tasting notes
We’ve reached the point where we open the bottle and begin tasting this lovely bourbon to see if it’s true or not.
The color of the bottle appears like melted caramel, and it begs you to drink it. The fragrances began with a warning: don’t get too close or I’ll bite. This is no joke, as this bourbon has 45 per cent alcohol.
So keep your distance from this alcohol, and you’ll notice lovely aromas like caramel, vanilla, and peppermint. The peppermint in this bourbon is intriguing, but as you sip it, the scent palate picks up on some bbq corn with butter served on new American white oak. Something extraordinary is produced when the sweetness and woody barbecue elements are combined.

I have to be honest with my readers and explain that it was difficult to extract every fragrance from that whiskey. Allow the bourbon to relax and open up to you with a bit of water before exploring further notes.
Be prepared for some of bourbon’s traditional heat when the whiskey eventually reaches your mouth. It’s not particularly spicy, but you can tell it’s from the United States, which is gratefully followed by oak flavors. It’s not as smooth as a Jameson (https://diamondwhiskey.com/2021/03/11/jameson/), but it’s still light and enjoyable to drink.
The finish is medium in length, with crunchy grilled cheese with bread flavor and smoked corn at the end. A smooth conclusion to your Maker’s Mark experience, it is clean and subtle.
Fast food & whiskey
Now since I work a regular job, my food this time was influenced by it since sometimes you just don’t have the energy to prepare a meal after a long, difficult day. I needed something quick and exciting to go with my bourbon and whiskey blog adventure. The solution was a fast food burger and fries with sauce.
Drink before you eat since the Mark Maker’s is still fiery and goes nicely with the burger and fries in that order. It’s an easy way for me to relax and bury my workaholic behind closed doors while breaking open a bottle of whiskey. There is no cooking, it is easy to clean, and the whiskey is the icing on the cake. Not terrible for a busy day after a hard day of work, and I recommend pairing only affordable whiskeys with your fast food.

It’s still good in both ways, and it won’t break the budget, even if the whiskey doesn’t go well with the food.
Ending notes
Being able to simply take in the beautiful scenery was a novel experience for me on my whiskey adventure, and it felt wonderful. I didn’t have to work hard to get the most out of this tasting, and at the end of the evening, I felt relaxed and managed to reduce my stress level, which is a vital aspect of life. To live a better life, find a way to reduce your stress. Try new things because not everything will be effective for you.
